As a Visual Artist, Design connects with my interest in creating whether it be for expression or means of problem-solving.

Graphics can provide very specific communication all at once while text can represent abstract theories slowly in a linear manner that can be consumed in pieces. 

The relationship between word and image interests me and design enables the two to be combined in many cases to transfer information more holistically than through speaking alone.
